Let us count the ways this app update has gone backwards... Frequent crashes, 8 times with todays edition. The change of tapping for the single story, essay-look means that every random touch jumps to that format. Enlargement of print has to be done for each page individually. Three frustrating changes too many

Keeps crashing

It freezes, it crashes, it makes the simple act of reading the newspaper an ordeal. Come on, people, get it together.

Yet another frustrating morning with no paper to read. The app wouldnt even open. Some error message about having to open in edit mode to add something. This is despite there having been no updates released since 3/1.

This new "upgrade" is a big step backwards. The new app does not give an easy read and is a lot less useful than the old app. The pages dont size properly and have to be re-sized for each page. It is hard to get to different sections quickly. The automatic download feature doesnt seem to work. All in all, I wonder if someone at the Globe tried to actually read a paper on the new app before it was rolled out. I would hope that someone would have called a halt after giving this a try.

Each version gets worse. I have not been able to download an issue for three days. Constant crashes and freezes. I also do not like the look of the new format. The previous version had all kinds of technical issues but at least it looked better.
