Bad app now worse

Updated app now keeps crashing while I read the first page. Add to that the fact that after you take the time to download the paper, you still cant read it without an internet connection. I downloaded the paper at the airport to read on an airplane. You get on the plane, and it tells you you cant read what you just downloaded without a connection. Why? Every other app will fill in the subject line if you want to email an article to someone. Not this one. I could go on, but you get the idea. Did humans actually make this app?

New app is horrible

Why do I have to delete the app and reinstall it every morning to get my paper. Incredibly bad app. Has to be the worst. Henry should talked to the folks at the Boston Herald. The Herald app works everyday.

Slow, crashes, now unusable

This app stopped working and now actually displays error messages. Its an embarrassment for a newspaper like the Globe not to have a working product.

Crashes in iOS10

Crashes when trying to download current issue on iOS10. Previously was a good app.

Worst app ever

I called customer service after trying again and again to load the e paper and they suggested downloading the app again, but would not respond when I asked if this was a problem. I have to delete then load a new app every few days and it never loads automatically. Now that I see the reviews, clearly it is a problem. Cant believe they dont fix this thing.

Shameful

If there is a worse app out there in this wide universe of apps, one more frustrating, ill-conceived, or just plain maddening, Ive thankfully not found it. Shame on your tech team.

Worst app ever

At least once a week I have to delete this app and download it again, and sign in again, after it freezes. The Globes delivery problems are not limited to the paper edition.

Horrible

Truly one of the worst apps Ive ever used. Crashes constantly. God forbid Im asked for my log in info as this sets up a never ending round of emails and phone calls to get access to a subscription that I pay for ("account not recognized"; "incorrect log in credentials"). Maddeningly frustrating.

Big step backwards

This app is horrible. I thought the previous version was good. When they launched the new one, I was thinking it would be really good assuming it would only improve on previous version. This one has gone backwards significantly. I hope the Globe is working on a new version quickly.

Finally, the Globe app is great!

After terrible performance under IOS 10, the app has been upgraded to work much better than ever. Now if you enlarge a page to read, you can go to the next page directly - no need to pinch back! (Never an issue in hard copy, of course.)

Upgrade not working

Got up this morning after last nights upgrade and I only have about 1/3 of the newspaper.

Still often late to post, crashes a lot

The daily paper is sometimes not posted until after 7:00 am, still has trouble loading sometimes, and the app still crashes pretty much every day - it seems to have the most trouble when you tap on particular articles, or try to enlarge an article. Come on, Globe, you can do better.

Can I give the app a zero??

Astounds me that the Globe cannot get this app working properly.

App = crap

This is the most unstable app Ive ever seen. Crashes or freezes with utter regularity. When will they get it right. I cant believe I have to pay money for this thing.

One star because it cant be graded zero stars

Why cant the Globe leave well enough alone? Last year the app finally worked great. They upgraded. It slipped to working slowly but adequately. I dont know what theyve done now. But I havent been able to download or read for two days. It just locks up. I cant get anyone from the Globe to respond via email or take a phone call. One more day of no service and Im cancelling my subscription. Add: A 74% increase in price to use this horrible, unreliable app? Forget about it Globe. Youre gone! Add: I found a way to get around the 74% rate increase. But now The Globe arrives about every other day. How hard is it to make a paper available online. Ive loaded and reloaded the app countless times. The Globe is ripping me off. When I call and complain the person says they will pass on my information. Where to? The waste basket! A paper that isnt delivered isnt worth 1 cent. Im cancelling The Globe again.

New Version Downloaded...still crashes

2-3 Sections through this mornings paper and the app has already crashed around 10 times. Updated to the new version but the problem is persisting.

Fee to high

When I lived in Boston 22 years ago this was my go to paper for sports. The best writers in the country. Since moving though I have found many other outlets to get my Boston Sports fix. I would gladly return to the Globe if they lowered their online subscription fees for a sports page only version. I have ZERO desire to read rest of paper and will not pay 15$ a month. I will continue to check back periodically to see if they lower their rates for sports fans.

Horrible

Crashes, wont load or download. Settings wont even open. This isnt even close to the class the Herald has.
